With a roughly 2/3 prevalence towards Chardonnay, this wine only uses grapes from Grand Cru classified vineyards. Aromas of citrus and whitefleshed fruits, with sweeter hints that recall almonds and, to a lesser extent, pastries (a sensation typical of the Ogier and Grand Cru Chardonnays present in the wine). A taut, salted mouth, which also features a nice horizontality

Now just approaching maturity, this floral, aromatic wine is superb. Very dry, very crisp and with delicious lemon and green-apple freshness, the wine also has a strongly mineral character that comes from the chalk soil of the Cote des Blancs. The wine is just ready, although it will age further.

The 2002 Noble Cuvée Millésime Brut is a deep and complex blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. Full-bodied and vinous, this is is a highly elegant and balanced mix of mineral freshness and pure fruit; it has tension and finesse.

Disgorged May 2016. Dosage 6 g/l. 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. Always the same base as the Noble Cuvée Blanc de Blancs but with the addition of Pinot Noir from the grands crus Verzenay, Bouzy and Aÿ.Much richer nose than the Blanc de Blancs 2002. Really quite a complex bouquet already. Spicy with already some integration. Racy and fine. Lacy texture. Jancis Robinson
